Meet the Artist

My story begins in Aurora, Colorado, where I was born into a family with two older siblings. There is no sugar-coating it-- life was difficult. We were in and out of rented homes until we could only afford apartments for years. In the midst of internal struggles with my family and friends, I found solace in creation. I began with a paper and pencil, and then made my way into a choir. After that, it was natural to move into theatre and continue creating. Come high school, I knew that I wanted to spend my life in a creative field, whether it be writing, performing, drawing... It was all appealing to me.

I was accepted into Colorado State University for a Journalism degree in the winter of 2020, where I would begin my trek to gain my bachelor's degree in the fall of 2021 as a first-generation student. For the first two years, I felt a little lost. My peers all had their niches and career aspirations, and it was like I was falling behind. That is, until I found myself in a Photography classroom, and realized that the camera felt like an extension of myself, and not simply a tool. I found the urge to push myself into video production and graphic design, marrying all three skills together into someone that can write, shoot, edit, and customize anything that I pleased. My heart belongs to artistry and -- akin to Thor and Mjolnir -- I channel that power through the lens.
